John Wood On the Edge of Clear Meaning (again)

I posted some time ago on the John Wood retrospective "On the Edge of Clear Meaning" that is here in Rochester at The George Eastman House, The Memorial Art Gallery and the Visual Studies Workshop through this coming Saturday. The exhibition will move to NYC where it will be shown at The International Center for Photography and The Grey Art Gallery (NYU). From there it will travel to the Light Work Gallery in Syracuse next fall.

Well, this afternoon I saw two-thirds of the exhibition - I missed one third of it because all the doors at the Visual Studies Workshop were locked and no one answered the bell, despite my repeated ringing. If you are in the area you should not miss the exhibition. Wood's work is really quite impressive, traversing the intersections of art and politics in subtle and provocative ways.
