Landscapes ~ Pentti Sammallahti

“The objectivity of the photograph is a fine
thing, even though it may only be apparent. You
have a chance to deal with reality which does
not always correspond to your own wishes and
expectations. You have an opportunity to deal
with chance.” ~ Pentti Sammallahti

I came across the work of Finnish photographer Pentti Sammallahti (b. 1950) more or less by accident this evening. I have not been able to find out much about him on-line. But his work brings to mind Josef Koudelka and also Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
