And While we are Talking About King ...

“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous
than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
~ Martin Luther King Jr., 1963

King may have overstated the case a bit - after all, in the category of dangerous characteristics, it is hard to beat either true, shameless venality or sadistic delight in the pain of others. The latter just happen, in my view, to be less widely distributed than the qualities King identifies.

It is a sad reality of the world and unfortunately most likely always will be, that there are those who "delight in the pain" of others". Let us pray for such people and for those who suffer because of them. It would be nice to see a day when all of humanity respects each other regardless, for being human being gets enough trouble on this earth without others adding to to that.
One other point - I beg to disagree with you, (and I have fell down myself in that respect on occassions) but gendered language is NEVER appropriate, especially from yourself as the blog owner, whom others like myself, admire. You are the example for us and must set the standard.
