A Very Good Reason to Oppose HRC

My friend Susan has just pointed out another excellent reason to support someone other than Hilary for the Democratic nomination. Her astute comment was prompted by this story in The Times on Celine Dion and her fans. It turns out that Celine closed her Las Vegas show last weekend after only 717 performances. Hilary supporters, of course, picked a Dion song as her campaign anthem. And the Clinton campaign demonstrated great leadership in not vetoing the choice. So, that means if Hilary wins the nomination, we will be subjected to "You and I" repeatedly over an extended period. Even the threat of such treatment would violate the Geneva Conventions.

would a canadian singer having such a high amount of political influence be considered a threat to homeland security. i mean it starts here and just goes downhill, first with the loss of real bacon for the substitution of little round ham pieces calling themselves bacon. i for one think we should change the name from canadian bacon to something a little more american, like freedom bacon!

why couldn't she pick an established right winger like toby keith to sing her song, just to show reagan that republicans aren't the only people who can completely distort the meaning of a song for the purpose of rallying the mindless rabble. i.e. born in the u.s.a. a clearly pro vet/anti war song, which clearlyt he reagan admin had no sentiment for, being that most of them were never in a war.

From the Dems, only Obama peaks my interest. HRC is too calculating and ambitious for my taste. I don't trust her for one second. Without Bubba introducing her to politics, she would be another Yale trained, corporate lawyer, probably defending white-collar criminals. Sorry, but anyone who thinks HRC will be an agent of change is blind. She will be an agent of Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.

I read the headline as: "A Very Good Reason to Oppose Human Rights Campaign". Just sayin'.

Cole - Sorry. But if the Human RIghts Campaig had recruited Celine, it might even be a good reason to not support it? JJ
